WHAT: Raffles International Showcase

WHERE: The Runway, Carriageworks, 245 Wilson Street, Eveleigh NSW 2015

WHEN: 11am, Thursday, 18th May


On Thursday, 18th May at 11am, seven emerging designers will showcase their ten ready-to-wear pieces as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA) at Carriageworks, in the Raffles International Showcase.

The talented and fashion-forward group encompasses Raffles’ most distinguished alumni. The group highlights a diversity of backgrounds with childhoods spent in Vietnam, the US and Thailand as well as Australia.  As individuals, they have different interests including travelling extensively through Asia, a love of ethical and sustainable fashion and a fascination with 1940’s US fashion.


WARRAWUT by Wilson Nuguyen – inspired by French architecture and featuring strong design aesthetics of lines and shapes.


Whatev. by Nath Vesaruttragool - A streetwear brand featuring minimal, clean looks juxtaposed with crazy embellishments.


È N V E by Melisa The – A collection consists of modern, sleek and timeless designs for women from a designer who has interned for top names including Carla Zampatti, Alice McCall and Josh Goot.


CARLEY ROSE THE LABEL by Carley Rose Wolski – Carley’s collection is inspired by her love for ethnical and sustainable clothing.


OCCUPANTS by Rebecca Deasey – Rebecca draws influence from personal encounters, past and present creative characters and Australian nonchalance when it comes to fashion.


NARA by Pimnarra Sangngern – Inspired by Hippy fashion and American culture of the 1940’s, this is a heavily denim collection featuring strong geometric cuts with detailed fringing.


ASHLEIGH KWONG by Ashleigh Kwong – Ashleigh’s garments are inspired by Japanese Zen gardens – fresh, modern and elegant but with an edgy twist evoking beauty and serenity.


Raffles College of Design and Commerce is a unique education provider based in Parramatta, specialising in design, visual communication and business. The college is part of Raffles Education Corporation, with a network of over 34 colleges across the Asia-Pacific region.
