Wearable art has taken on a new meaning with delicate paper engineering and raw fashion talent colliding to create six astonishing modern dress designs. Created in partnership with DFS Galleria Sydney, the six dresses were designed and painstakingly handmade by Raffles fashion students to celebrate the DFS Fall campaign, ‘Asia Unfolds’. Each style embraced the themes of Air, Sea and Land, in white with a touch of red.
Students were invited to create wearable art using paper engineering, with six top designs put on display at the Galleria store, located in The Rocks. Customers, students, teachers, local concierges and travel agents were then invited to vote for their favourite. The winner was first year student Rebecca Deasey from North Ryde, who cited her inspirations as coral, the Barrier Reef and exotic fish.
